The 6th International Conference on Voice Physiology and Biomechanics
ICVPB 2008 – Tampere, Finland - August 6-9, 2008

VOICE SOURCE ANALYSIS

Dear Colleagues,

It is our honour and pleasure to invite you to the sixth International Conference on Voice Physiology and Biomechanics to be held from August 6 through 9, 2008 in the University of Tampere, Finland.

The ICVPB offers a great opportunity for researchers from all over the world, representing different disciplines, to meet each other and share their current knowledge and present new ideas. The emphasis of the ICVPB conferences is traditionally on basic and applied research rather than clinical treatment.

Investigators working in the fields of Voice Physiology and Biomechanics, Modeling of Voice Production, Muscle and Nerve Physiology, Neurosciences, Neurology, Laryngology, Aerodynamics, Acoustics, Animal Communication, and Bioacoustics are encouraged to submit abstracts.

The main theme of the Tampere conference is Voice Source Analysis which is a wide field comprising of different approaches including e.g. analysis of the transglottal airflow and vocal fold vibration, studied with a versatile methodology (high-speed registration, kymography, mathematical and physical modelling etc.).

We wish you warmly welcome to enjoy the high quality scientific program and stimulating and fruitful discussions with colleagues and to get acquainted with the city of Tampere as well as the Scandinavian late summer with its still fairly light nights in August.
